The other contest is the wow selfie scavenger hunt

I only recently started getting into the selfie camera. I originally thought it to be a marginal addition to the game but I think it's pretty comical sometimes.

For the wow selfie contest, they're asking you to go to the enemies' faction capital and take a picture while under attack by guards. I had to do it twice because you can't unequip gear while in combat (hurr durrr).

Thankfully Spirit Roll saves the day. If only I remembered to add Celerity.

Progression Flamebender

Let's review my mythic progress. On the Chopping block for this week was Flamebender Ka'graz.

After 7 wipes and we downed her. Luckily with monk's its rather easy to reset her using transcendence. So most of our wipes were easily reset.

I was most concerned with how the wolves would do but they actually died just fine with none of them rekindling. The hardest part was keeping our dps alive through the wolves, once we handled that we were able to kill her just fine.

We're now 5/10. Kromog is up next!

Thoughts on Flamebender Ka'graz

Gonna drop some notes here on Mythic Flamebender Ka'graz for guilds at 693 ilvl

Flamebender has: 165mil HP

Aknor Steelbringer: 7.8 million HP

Cinder Wolf 4.7 million HP (x4 = 18.8 million hp) (8 expected wolf kills = 37.6)

Flamebender channels for 12 seconds at full energy and then resets energy when firestorm is finished. Energy also pauses occasionally throughout

Expected timeline: mm:ss
1:00 - Wolves
2:02 - Firestorm
2:18 - Firestorm ends, energy resets
3:19 - Wolves
4:20 - Firestorm
4:36 - Firestorm ends, energy reset
5:36 - Wolves
+4-21 seconds - Flamebender should die
6:24 - Fatal Firestorm

I have updated numbers for our raid. Guilds our ilvl are actually more likely to have the 3rd wolves spawn and ignore them. Average kill times are 5:40-5:57 . I'm going to skew to the lower number on our first kills. Therefor the damage per second numbers fall as so (accounting for tank damage):
~355 seconds


Killing 8 dogs:
210.4 Million hp total
Expected averages for 5:55:
5 healers: 15.0 million 42.2k Dps
4 healers:  14 million 39.4k Dps

Killing 12 dogs:  (+18.8 million hp about 9% increase)
229.2 million hp
Expected averages 5:55:
5 healers: 16.37 million 46.1k Dps
4 healers:  15.28 million 43.0k Dps

I am Siar, the Cursed Monk. I'm an Alliance Pandaren Monk Mythic raider on Korgath in the World of Warcraft game. I play as Windwalker and Mistweaver with my main specialization being Windwalker. I've not been playing Monk long however I have a history of playing World of Warcraft since BC. I've had many pauses and returns to the game throughout that history, currently in Warlords of Draenor is my first experience in Mythic Raiding.
