Monk Basics - Stats

There's hardly any good information on Windwalker Monk stats in 6.0 , let's talk about each real quickly! I also have resources for extra information and tools below.

Resources and tools:

If you understand how stats work feel free to jump into these resources, however if you're just starting I suggest reading below

Energy and Haste

Monks have two stats Energy is one of them.
We have a base energy of 100. At level 100 we have a base energy regeneration rate of 11.5 per second.

This is increased by our haste percentage.

Base Equation: 11.5 + (11.5 x Haste percentage) = Energy Regeneration

Example: A haste rating of 90 at level 100 is equal to 1% haste.
Let's look and see if I had 900 haste rating: 10% haste
11.5 + (11.5 x .10) =
11.5 + 1.15 = 12.65 energy regeneration per second.
Base Energy regeneration: 11.5 per second.

Chi

Monks have a base of four chi, we gain chi by using abilities. In combat these do not degrade. Out of combat they degrade at a rate of about one per fifteen seconds.
There are talents and and level 90-100 perks to increase your chi bar. Windwalkers have a base of five at level 100.
The Chi Bar on basic unit frames is highlighted.

 Agility = Attack power

Agility in 6.1 gives Windwalker Monks Attack power. It's really that simple.

Haste - Faster stuff

Haste will increase our attack speed, casting speed and our energy regeneration. We talk about energy regeneration above, let's talk about attack speed and spell casting. At level 100, 90 Haste rating is equal to 1% of Haste. 1% haste will reduce a spells casting time by 1% and reduce damage over time duration (They 'tick' faster). It will increase attack speed by 1%, and it will increase energy regeneration by 1%.

At level 100, 90 haste rating is equal to 1% of haste.
Example: 2000 Haste rating = 22.22% haste.

PVE Multistrike -  Extra attacks

Multistrike in PVE situations is a stat that grants two independent chances to have the attack strike an extra time for thirty percent of normal.
At level 100, 66 Multistrike rating is equal to 1% of multistrike chance.
Example: 2000 Multistrike rating = 30.30% chance

Windwalkers have a passive ability called Windflurry which gives them a 5% base of Multistrike chance. We also have Battle Trance which gives us an additional 5% more from all stat sources. (This is an additional 5% rating.)

Example with Item multistrike rating of 2000.
Battle Trance: 2000 x 105% = 2100
Windwalker's multistrike rating: 2100 / 66 = 31.81%
Add Windflurry: 5% chance base.

Windwalker chance to multistrike: 36.81%
This windwalker has two independent 36.81% chances to deliver an extra attack for 30% of normal damage.

Mastery - Bottled Fury

Windwalker monks' mastery is called Bottled Fury we have a chance to generate an additional Tigereye Brew whenever we get one. Windwalkers have a base mastery percent of 20%. This addional Tigereye Brew does not have a chance to cause an explosion of Tigereye Brew. You only get one roll each normal Tigereye Brew gained.
At level 100, 110 Mastery rating is equal to 1% mastery

Example with Item Mastery rating of 2000 = 18.18% .
2000 / 110 = 18.18%
Add Windwalker's Bottled Fury percentage: 20%

Windwalker Mastery chance: 38.18%

Versatility - general % increases

In 6.1 Versatility increases damage and healing, and decreases damage taken. At level 100, 130 Versatility rating is equal to 1% increased damage and healing and 0.5% reduced damage taken.

Example with Item Versatility rating of 2000.
2000 / 130 = 15.38% increased damage and healing, 7.69% reduced damage taken.

Critical Strike - 2x More damage

Critical strike is an additional 100% damage on an ability, spell, or melee attack. (Twice your normal). At level 100, 110 Critical strike rating is equal to 1% Critical strike chance.

Example with Item Critical strike rating of 2000 = 18.18%.
2000 / 110 = 18.18%
